When I was in San Marino last Christmas they had short Christmas stories posted all around the cable car station.  This was one of my favorites:

“The Legend of the Robin

A small, brown bird shared the stable with the Sacred Family in Bethlehem.  That night, while everyone was sleeping, he noticed that the fire was dying down.

He flew down to the embers and kept the fire burning the whole night by flapping his wings to warm up the Baby Jesus.

The next morning he was rewarded with a brilliant red chest as a symbol of his love for the newborn King.”
