Last year I spent Christmas in Rome.  My parents were there with me the first few days, then I spent the 48 hours after the holiday wandering around, reading in cafés and finding little details I hadn’t noticed before.  On Christmas Eve, my parents and I attended midnight mass in St. Peter’s Square and, on Christmas Day, we went back to the famous (and packed) piazza for the Pope’s noon blessing (part of which is included in the video below).  I hope you enjoy this little glimpse into Rome at Christmas!

Have you ever spent Christmas in Italy? Where? What did you do? Did you have a favorite part?

Don’t miss my videos of Bologna at Christmas and Orvieto at Christmas!
